About Bragg Creek

Just a 30 minute drive west of Calgary you will find the small but charming hamlet of Bragg Creek. Known as the gateway to Kananaskis Country, the town is full of personality and old-town charm.
In town you can find a collection of unique stores and boutiques, artisan studios, tastes from around the world, and lots of natural space. Depending on the timing of your visit, you may catch one of the many original festivals the town proudly puts on.
Outside of town, just west of Bragg Creek on Highway 66 has become a hub for all season outdoor adventure of all types. From world class hiking, biking, ski or horseback trails to off-roading at McLean Creek Provincial Recreation area and camping and fishing all along the Elbow River.
Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the area provides a look into some of Alberta’s history and offers a vintage backcountry feel to all is visitors. If you plan to visit the foothills, it's worth planning to get to Bragg.
