National Day of Truth and Reconciliation at Keith Lefthand's Family Ranch

They recently received a grant from Canadian Heritage to host an event commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As a result, the event is FREE. You are invited to join them for the afternoon or a part of the afternoon that fits with your schedule. There are 4 times to meet at the bridge and be escorted to Keith's family ranch: 11:30, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00. Stay as long as you want, everything wraps up at about 5:00 pm in the late afternoon. The meeting place will be at the bridge at the entrance of Eden Valley Reserve 216. Activities Include:- Participate in smudge ceremony and prayer in Keith's tipi- Learn about the regalia that Keith has collected over the years- Join a discussion with Keith about the history and culture of the Stoney Nakoda people- Hike up the hill to the south of Keith's family ranch- Swim in the swimming hole on the north side (bring a swimsuit and towel)- And of course, enjoy Indian tacos ($25 including a drink)
