Dewdney Players: One Act Plays

Apr 23 - May 02

A One Act Play is a play that has only one act, instead of several acts, but may consist of one or more scenes. In recent years, the ‘10-minute play’ has emerged as a popular subgenre of the one act play. The origin of the one act play may be traced to the very beginning of drama: in ancient Greece, Cyclops, a satyr play by Euripides, is an early example. Our One Act Plays also participate in the Foothills Regional One Act Play Festival, Dewdney has had great success over the years, winning trophies for Best Actor, Actress, Director and Play, as well as Best Original Play, as well as several trips to (and wins at) the annual Provincial One Act Play Festival! April 23, 24, 25 | 30, May 1, 2 | Doors 7 pm, show 7:30 pm. General $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Senior/Student $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
