From November to Christmas, the entire Foothills invite you to experience the magic of Christmas and come find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. So, start planning because there is a Christmas market nearly every weekend. From the biggest of them all in Millarville to the quiet and quaint community markets, you’ll find the spirit of Christmas in the Foothills.
November 3 to 6 and November 10 to 13
Let’s start with the most famous and largest of them all, the Millarville Christmas Market. For eight fabulous days in November, this decades-running market welcomes you to experience the magic of Christmas at this indoor/outdoor festival of Christmas. Hundreds of vendors come from far and wide to show off their wares in this country setting. Reindeer, food trucks, music and merriment await you at the Millarville Christmas Market. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, make sure you
pre-purchase your tickets to comply with provincial regulations.
November 5 to December 21 (closed Mondays)
With the best views in the Foothills and an extensive collection of local and regional artists, you won’t want to miss the Christmas in the Country Art Sale at the Leighton Art Centre. This annual sale runs online and in person. Pick out some Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers for everyone on your list amid the stunning scenery of the Eastern Slopes. Everything about the Leighton Art Centre is an absolute delight, from the views, to the Leighton home to the art itself. Do not miss the chance to see the foothills sparkling in the frosty air while getting into the Christmas spirit at the arguably prettiest property in the Foothills.

Join in the festivities at the Okotoks Elks’ Lodge in downtown Okotoks. This super local Christmas Market held each year with the Light Up Okotoks event. Each year, the market supports Heaven Can Wait animal rescue out of High River by accepting food, toys and cash donations.

Granary Road's annual celebration of the magic and mischief of the season. Join them for some pre-Christmas fun for all the Bah Humbugs out there.
